Congratulations to Brother Knight and Council Treasurer Nathan Whitford and his wife on their new arrival!

Nathan and Dana welcomed Ava Marie Whitford to the world Tuesday October 11th 2011. At 8 lbs and 0 oz. the wee one is well as is mom. Please continue to pray for the Whitford Family!

Columbus Association New Kitchen Hours

The kitchen will now be open Wednesday and Friday with a full menu from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Come down and enjoy our delicious burgers, Irish Nachos and of course our wings smothered in one of our 10 amazing sauces.

Your Council Home Needs Your Help!

First and foremost we want to thank all of you for coming back to the Home and making the last few months so successful. We couldn't do it without our little band of volunteers and a huge thank you goes out to them as well. That said we need your help more than ever. Our volunteers have done a great job but we need more volunteers to step forward to assist us as we continue to grow. Keeping our Home open is a large task and as you can imagine our volunteers in the bar and kitchen have put in countless hours of hard work to bring us to where we are. As the saying goes "Many Hands Make Light Work!". Would you consider helping out? We need help in the following areas:

• Bartenders (particularly Fridays and Sundays for football and other nights as needed.)
• Kitchen help (Simple food prep such operating fryers, Kitchen cleanup / dishes after Wednesday Wing Knight and Friday Dinners)Under direction of our manager
• Order Takers / Waiters and Waitresses for Wednesday Wing Knight and Friday Dinners (Again under the direction of our manager)
• Setup / Tear Down for Parties and bingo
• General Maintenance (Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, Roofing, Landscaping/Grounds Maintenance, etc...)

I know I know.....you're saying "But I don't know how to do any of this!"....hey neither did we when we started and we would be happy to help you learn! You would be supprised how quickly you can learn to run the dishwasher!
Don't forget that for helping out you may get a "Volunteer Drink" and if you volunteer for a full shift on a food night you may qualify for a "volunteer meal"! Our volunteer bartenders and wait staff keep their tips!
